SaleBought this as a gift for my son who's just moved into his own flat, he loves it. He did say he found the blade a tad thinner than he's used to, so he's being extra careful. But he's really pleased with it.
Ok so I've had this a few weeks now, used it daily. It's a proper sharp knife and makes quick work of onions and herbs. The balance is good but I found it slightly heavier than I expected, not a dealbreaker though as I'm getting used to it. Overall very happy with my purchase.
Really impressed with the quality for the price, the blade is beautiful and holds an edge well. My only thing is the handle shape is a bit different to what I'm used to, took a few days to get comfortable with it. Still, a great bit of kit.
Lovely knife, performs really well. The presentation box was a nice touch. My gripe is purely personal preference, I think I'd prefer a darker coloured handle, but that's just me being picky. Would still recommend.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it and the handle feels really secure. Came in a nice box too.
So I got this to replace my old supermarket knife and honestly its a different world. The damascus pattern is stunning and its so sharp I was a bit nervous at first. Used it on a load of veg for a Sunday roast and it just glides through everything, the balance is spot on. My new favourite thing in the kitchen.
Bought this for my husband who loves to cook, he was chuffed with it. He says its a massive upgrade from his old set and the damascus finish looks the part. He did mention he wishes it was a tiny bit longer, but he's been using it non-stop so can't be that bad. Arrived next day which was a bonus.
Way better than the Procook set I had, the difference in sharpness is night and day. The damascus is a real looker on the magnetic strip. Just a really solid, reliable knife.
The blade is ridiculously sharp out of the box, had to be careful the first few times. The damascus finish is beautiful, my mates were well impressed when they saw it. Been using it for everything from herbs to butternut squash and its handled it all.
I'm just a home cook but this feels like a proper professional tool. The grip is secure even when my hands are a bit wet from washing veg. Cant believe how sharp it is, slices tomatoes paper thin.
I was a bit nervous spending this much on a knife but its completely worth it. The weight is perfect, not too heavy not too light. Makes prepping dinner so much quicker, I actually look forward to chopping onions now.
Solid knife, good value. The balance is excellent. I suppose my only wish is that it came with a simple blade guard or sleeve for storage, but that's not a big deal. Cuts like a dream.
Does the job brilliantly, sharp and looks the part. I find myself reaching for it most days. Only reason it's not 5 stars is I think the edge could be a tiny bit sharper right out the box, but a quick hone sorted that.
Birthday present for the wife who loves cooking, she absolutely adores it. Says its the best knife she's ever used. Came really well packaged, felt very secure.
Great knife, cuts beautifully. The damascus pattern is lovely. I do wish it came in a slightly longer size though, maybe a 9 inch option. Still, very happy with it for the price.
Positive first impressions. It's a bit heavier than I was expecting for a Japanese knife, but I actually prefer the heft now I've used it a bit, gives you more control. Edge is superb.
Perfect balance, feels like an extension of your hand. The finish is impeccable, you can tell a lot of care went into making it. Makes quick work of onions and peppers.
My first proper Japanese knife and I'm chuffed with it. It's surprisingly lightweight which I like, means less wrist fatigue. Edge retention seems great so far, still sharp after loads of use.
The pattern on the blade is gorgeous, really unique. Its a joy to use, just glides through food. Handle fits my hand nicely, no hotspots or anything after a big prep session.
Alright knife. Sharp enough and looks good. I dunno, I guess I just don't get the hype compared to my old faithful. It's good, not great. Does the job.
Really nice knife overall, the sharpness is fantastic. My only very minor thing is the handle shape took a day or two to get used to, its a bit different to my old one. But I like it now, just felt odd at first.
So I got this to replace my old chef's knife and wow, its a massive upgrade. The damascus pattern is stunning, honestly looks more expensive than it was. Cuts through veg like butter, holds its edge really well after a month of daily use.
It's a decent knife. Does what it says on the tin. I was maybe expecting a bit more for the price though? The damascus pattern is nice but the handle feels a bit ordinary to me. It's fine, just not blown away.
It's... fine. Got it because the reviews were good. It cuts well. I suppose I just expected to be more impressed? It hasn't really changed how I cook or anything. A good knife, but not a revelation.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it.
