SaleBought this for my husband's birthday and he absolutely loves it. He's a proper home cook and says the balance is spot on, makes the rocking motion for herbs really easy. The pattern on the blade is lovely as well, looks the business. Arrived next day which was a bonus.
Bought this to replace my old block set knife and the difference is night and day. So much lighter and balanced, just glides through tomatoes.
Came really well packaged in a nice box, felt like a proper treat. Used it on some carrots and the cut is just so clean, no crushing at all.
Really nice knife overall, the sharpness is incredible and it feels great in the hand. My only very minor thing is the handle shape, it's a bit more oval than I'm used to so took a day or two to get comfortable with. But honestly, it's a fantastic bit of kit and I'd definitely recommend it.
Ok so I was a bit nervous spending this much on a knife but I'm so glad I did. It's a massive upgrade from my old Victorinox. The VG10 core seems to hold its edge really well, I've had it a month of daily use and it's still super sharp. Used it to break down a whole chicken last weekend and it handled everything perfectly. Came really well packaged in a nice box too.
So I got this knife to replace my old block set and wow, what a difference. The edge is just ridiculous, goes through tomatoes like they're not even there. Been using it for all my veg prep and it's just a joy. Handle feels really solid too, nice weight to it.
Lovely knife, the edge is fantastic. My minor gripe is I wish it came in a slightly longer 8 or 9 inch version, I've got big hands. That said, for the price it's brilliant.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it.
The balance is fantastic, feels like an extension of your hand. Makes the rocking motion for herbs so easy and controlled.
Yeah it's alright. Cuts well, looks nice. But I'm not sure it's that much better than my old one that cost half as much. Does what it says on the tin, just nothing amazing.
I was a bit nervous spending this much on a knife but it's worth it. The quality is obvious as soon as you pick it up. Used it to break down a whole chicken and it handled everything from joints to delicate bits.
The finish on this is lovely, feels premium. Handle has a nice grip to it even when your hands are a bit wet.
Massive upgrade from my old Victorinox. The difference in edge retention is mad, I'm not constantly reaching for the steel anymore.
So I've had this about a month now using it nearly every day and it's just a joy. The blade is thin so it doesn't wedge in dense veg like squash.
Way better than the Procook set I had. The steel feels solid and the sharpness is on another level.
Been using it for a few weeks now and it's still as sharp as day one. The VG10 core is the real deal, don't think I'll need to sharpen it for ages.
Absolutely love this knife. The edge is ridiculously sharp, makes prepping veg a dream. The pattern on the steel is gorgeous too, feels really special.
Great knife, performs really well. The Damascus finish is stunning. Knocked a star off because I personally would have preferred a darker handle for the look, but that's just me being picky. Would definitely recommend.
Good but not great. The blade is nice and sharp, handle is comfortable. Just feels a bit... standard? For nearly sixty quid I suppose I thought it'd impress me more. It's a good knife, just not a wow one.
It's a decent knife. Does the job, sharp and all that. Just not blown away for the money if I'm honest, expected it to feel a bit more special in the hand. It's fine.
Got this for my husband who loves cooking, he hasn't stopped going on about it. Says the handle is really comfortable and it holds its edge brilliantly.
My first proper Japanese knife and I'm chuffed. It's so precise, makes you feel like a proper chef. Arrived next day which was a bonus.
Birthday present for the wife and she loves it. She says it's her new favourite thing in the kitchen, makes quick work of onions.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it.
The pattern is beautiful, looks amazing on the magnetic strip. Performs even better than it looks, glides through meat and veg.
