Impressed with the quality. Used it for dicing a mountain of onions and it didn't slow down. I find myself reaching for it over my other knives now. Only thing is I wish it came with a basic edge guard for storage.
Really pleased with this. It came really well packaged and the blade was protected. Feels premium, looks great on the magnetic strip. Just a great all-rounder.
So I got this to replace my old supermarket knife and honestly its a different world. The weight is spot on and it just glides through onions and peppers, makes prepping dinner a proper joy. Been using it for a fortnight now and the edge is still ridiculously sharp. Came in a nice solid box too.
Really nice knife overall, feels great in the hand and is super sharp out the box. My only tiny gripe is I think I'd have preferred the 9.5 inch option, my hands are quite big and I just fancied a bit more length. Still, its a fantastic bit of kit for the money and I use it every day.
Bought this for my husband who loves cooking and he hasn't put it down. He says the balance is perfect for the rocking motion when chopping herbs. For the price, you cant go wrong. Looks the part as well, feels like a much more expensive knife.
A really nice knife that performs well. I use it for everything from herbs to meat. My partner finds it a bit too big and heavy for her liking, but for me it's spot on. Just a preference thing.
Its a decent knife. Does the job fine, cuts well and all that. I suppose I was just expecting to be a bit more wowed for forty quid? Its good, but not amazing. Handle feels a bit plain compared to some others I've seen. Does what it says on the tin, just nothing special.
It's a decent knife. Does the job. I was maybe expecting a bit more for the price though? It's sharp and all, but it doesn't feel that much different to my old one that cost half as much. It's fine, just not amazing. Does what I need it to do.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it.
Upgraded from a supermarket knife and the difference is night and day. So much sharper and better balanced. I gave it 4 stars because, while it's great, I'm not *quite* as blown away as some reviews suggested I might be. Still very good.
Been using it daily for about a month now, still sharp as the day it came. Great for slicing tomatoes and peppers without crushing them.
The edge retention is fantastic. I've not had to sharpen it yet and I cook every day. It's a lovely weight, not too heavy not too light.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Sharp, sturdy, good looking. I docked a star because I think the finish on the handle could be a tiny bit smoother, but it's a minor thing really.
My first proper Japanese knife and I'm converted. The angle on the blade makes such a difference, you can really feel it slicing cleanly.
Cant believe how good this is for the price. I was a bit sceptical but it's a proper bit of kit. The rocking motion when chopping herbs is so smooth.
Bought this for my dad and he loves it. He said it holds an edge really well. He did mention the balance point is slightly more towards the blade than his old one, but he's adapted to it fine.
Solid performer. It's become my go-to for most veg prep. The profile is great for the rocking chop. Maybe a tiny bit less curved on the belly would suit me better, but that's just nitpicking.
Great value for money. It's a bit heavier than I expected but I actually prefer that for chopping through tougher veg. Does the job perfectly.
Happy with my purchase. It arrived quickly and well packed. The knife itself is great, holds an edge. I think the spine could be a bit more rounded for comfort during long prep sessions, but it's not a deal breaker.
Absolutely brilliant knife. I've been using it for a few weeks now and the edge is still razor sharp, glides through onions like they're butter. So much better than the cheap supermarket one I had before.
Really good knife, sharp and well made. The handle is a bit chunkier than I'm used to so took a day or two to get comfortable with it, but I like it now. Would recommend.
Perfect for my home kitchen. I was worried about the size but the 8.5 inch is ideal, not intimidating at all. Cuts through carrots and potatoes like a dream.
Got this as a birthday present for my husband who loves to cook. He was over the moon with it, says the balance is spot on and it's his new favourite in the kitchen. Came in a nice box too which was a bonus.
Really good knife, especially for the price. It's sharp and feels good. The handle shape is fine, but I think I'd get on better with a D-shaped one, my grip is a bit odd though.
Used it to break down a whole chicken the other day, handled it with no problems at all. The blade is thin and precise, really impressed.
