SaleIts a decent knife, does the job. The handle feels a bit chunky in my hand though, took some getting used to. Edge is sharp but I was expecting it to be a bit lighter for the price. Does what it says on the tin, just not blown away.
I do a lot of meal prep and this has cut my time in half. The edge is insane and it's so easy to control. Highly recommend.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it. Used it to break down a whole chicken and it handled everything from the joints to the fine slicing perfectly. Came really well packaged too, in a nice box.
Bought this after my mate recommended it. The craftsmanship is top notch, you can tell its well made. Used it on some beef short ribs and it was effortless.
Sharp out the box and feels solid. I've used it for a couple weeks and its good. I think for the price I was maybe expecting the fit and finish to be a tiny bit more refined, but its a minor thing. Works great.
Very good knife, does everything I need it to. The edge retention seems good so far. I do wish it came in a slightly longer size, maybe a 10 inch, but thats just personal preference. Happy with the purchase.
Ok so I was a bit nervous spending this much on a knife but I'm so glad I did. The balance is fantastic for the rocking motion, makes quick work of onions and herbs. My wife nicked it for her baking and now I cant get it back! Massive upgrade from my old set.
Bought this for my dad who loves to cook. He says its good, sharp and looks nice. But he did mention he prefers a slightly longer blade for his style, finds this 8.5 inch a bit short sometimes. So its good, just not his favourite.
So I got this to replace my old supermarket chef knife and wow, what a difference. The weight is spot on and it just glides through veg, makes prepping dinner a proper joy. The pattern on the blade is gorgeous, looks way more expensive than it was. Been using it for a month now and its still razor sharp.
Great knife, arrived quickly and well packaged. Does the job brilliantly. Only giving 4 stars because I think the handle could be a tiny bit more ergonomic, its fine but not perfect for me. Still recommends.
The balance on this is just right, feels like an extension of your hand. I've used it to break down a whole chicken and it went through the joints no problem. Really impressed.
Cant believe how sharp it is, you have to be careful. The Damascus steel is beautiful, looks amazing on the magnetic strip. A proper bit of kit.
Positive overall. Its a good knife, looks nice and cuts well. I just prefer a bit more of a curve on the blade for rocking, this one is quite flat near the tip. Still, its become my main veg chopper.
Ok so I was a bit nervous spending this much on a knife but its totally worth it. The handle fits my hand really well and its so much lighter than my old chef's knife. Makes cooking a joy.
Way better than the Procook set I had. This feels like a proper tool. The handle has a nice texture, doesnt slip even when my hands are wet.
Been using it daily for 3 weeks now and its still razor sharp. Handles everything from fine slicing salmon to dicing onions. My favourite bit of kit in the kitchen.
Massive upgrade from my old Victorinox. Holds its edge so much better and the food just falls off the blade. Couldnt be happier.
Lovely bit of kit, the Damascus pattern is stunning. It is a tad heavier than I was expecting but I actually prefer it now I've used it a bit. Makes chopping feel more controlled.
Bought this as a gift for my dad and he loves it. He said its a fantastic cutter. He did mention the blade is a bit thinner than his old one so hes being extra careful not to twist it, but sees that as a good thing. So 4 stars from him.
Ok so its good, not great. The handle feels a bit cheap for the overall price tag. Cuts well enough but I'm not sure its the massive leap people make it out to be. Its alright.
Upgraded from a cheap supermarket set and the difference is night and day. The weight and feel is just perfect, makes prepping veg so much quicker. Damascus pattern is a real looker too.
Got this for my husband whos really into his cooking. He absolutely loves it, says the balance is spot on and the edge is incredible. He wont put it down.
Perfect size for my hands, not too big not too small. The blade is thin so it goes through tomatoes and peppers without crushing them. Lovely knife.
Really nice knife, super sharp and looks the part. My only slight thing is the handle shape, its a bit square for my liking, took a day or two to get used to. Still a great knife though.
Came really well packaged in a nice box. First proper Japanese knife I've owned and I'm chuffed with it. The rocking motion for chopping herbs is effortless.
