Knives are age-restricted products. Under the Offensive Weapons Act 2019, UK retailers are legally required to verify that the buyer is 18 or over and to make sure the parcel is handed to an adult. This isn't a Shimeru rule and we can't make exceptions. It is the law, and it applies to every knife sold online in the UK.
What it means for your delivery:
If no one over 18 is available when the courier calls, they'll leave a card and take the parcel to your local Royal Mail delivery office. You can then collect it in person with photo ID, or book a redelivery (to the same address) using the details on the card. Royal Mail holds it for 18 days before returning it to us.
We know it adds a step and we're sorry for any hassle, but it is a legal requirement we have to follow. If you have any trouble with age verification, just email sales@shimeruknives.co.uk.

We aim to ship our orders in the fastest time possible. All orders are shipped during working hours Mon–Fri (not including bank holidays). Please allow longer shipping times during extremely busy periods, e.g. Christmas.
We are not responsible for delays that are out of our hands or wrongly inputted addresses. Our shipping times are for major locations around the world, USA, UK, Europe. All other locations may have a slightly longer shipping time depending on the location. We ship from our overseas warehouse and the UK depending on product availability.
