Sold OutStep 1 — Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher — the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2 — Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink — even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3 — Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer — it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it — no special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use. With these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Used this for a big Sunday roast and it handled everything from carving the meat to slicing veg no problem. The Damascus pattern is lovely. Its a tad heavier than I expected but I actually prefer it now, gives it some heft. Would have liked a longer blade but thats just personal preference.
Cant believe how sharp this is haha, chopped my finger the first day but thats my fault not the knives. Seriously though its a massive upgrade from my old Victorinox, feels much more premium. The blade pattern is stunning.
Bought this for my dad and he absolutely loves it, says its the sharpest knife hes ever had. Cuts through onions like butter. The pattern on the blade is lovely too, really catches the light.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it out the box, and the weight feels balanced. Used it to break down a whole chicken the other day and it was a doddle.
Pretty impressed with this overall. The steel is clearly good quality and it cuts like a dream. I just wish it came with a saya or guard for storage, feels a bit exposed just in the drawer. But the knife itself is brilliant, especially for the money.
Ok so I've been using this for about a month now and I'm proper impressed. The Damascus steel is gorgeous and it holds its edge way longer than my old knife. Rocking motion on this gyuto is smooth as anything, very happy with it.
Bought this to replace a cheap set and its a definite step up. The blade holds its edge really well, done a few big meal preps and it still feels sharp. The only thing is I wish the handle was a bit more rounded, its a bit angular for my grip. Still a great knife though, would recommend.
Really good knife, sharp as anything and looks gorgeous. The handle is nice but took me a day or two to get used to the shape, not a deal breaker though. Wish it came in a 10 inch size as well, but this is still excellent for everyday use.
Got this for my wife for her birthday, she's a keen cook and she said its the best present she's had. The handle feels really nice to hold, comfortable even after chopping loads of veg. Came in a nice box too.
So I'm a bit of a knife snob and this has blown me away for the price. The balance is perfect for me, the edge retention is superb. Makes quick work of onions without crying, which is a win in my book.
