Hikari 光 7" Damascus Steel Professional Santoku Knife 三徳包丁
This breathtaking 7" Hikari Damascus Santoku Knife is individually forged from 67-layer Japanese Damascus Steel with an HRC Rating as high as 62 for unparalleled hardiness and performance.
33-layers of Damascus on each side surround the Japanese VG10 Steel Core. Built to last and retain sharpness so that you will never need another santoku knife again.
The Hikari Santoku Knife features integrated full-tang moulding from blade to handle, which allows for increased force and leverage, making it useful against even the toughest of meats and vegetables.
The handle is perhaps our most practical and stunning handle design yet; it's a Pakka wood handle that is full of deep wooden colours, and will glisten beautifully in your kitchen.
The handle is also completely waterproof, heat-resistant, and non-slip, so it will feel absolutely wonderful in your hand. Finally, there is a Blossom Plum Rivet on the handle to enhance both the look and feel.
Achieve culinary perfection in style with the Hikari 7" Damascus Steel Professional Santoku Knife.

Really nice knife, the sharpness is incredible. Only giving 4 stars because the handle is a bit chunkier than I'm used to, takes a bit of getting used to but its not a deal breaker.
So I got this to replace my old santoku that was basically a blunt butter knife. The difference is night and day, the VG10 core is ridiculously sharp and it just glides through veg. Been using it for a month now and it's still as sharp as day one. Handle feels really solid in the hand too, no complaints at all.
Bought this for my husband who loves to cook. He was chuffed to bits with it, the damascus pattern is lovely. He says it's perfectly balanced and makes chopping onions a doddle. Came in a nice box as well which was a bonus for a present.
Great knife overall, arrived quickly and well packaged. It's a bit heavier than I expected for a santoku but tbh I actually prefer the heft now, gives you more control. Wish they did a 6 inch version as well for smaller jobs.
Happy with this purchase. Its become my go-to for most prep. The handle is comfortable for a pinch grip. Just a small thing, the spine could be a bit more rounded, its a tad sharp on the fingers.
Upgraded from a cheap supermarket set and yeah, it's a massive improvement. Cuts through everything like its nothing and the full tang makes it feel really sturdy. Just a tiny gripe, the blade is a bit shorter than my old one so my chopping rhythm was off for a day or two. Still, very happy with it.
Really nice knife, the edge is fantastic and it looks the part. My only minor thing is the handle shape, it's a bit square for my grip but I'm getting used to it. For the price it's brilliant though, miles better than anything on the high street.
Love this knife. The damascus layers are really pronounced, looks even better in person. Performance is top notch, cuts everything with minimal pressure.
Great knife, does everything I need. Its a bit heavier than I expected but I actually prefer it now for tougher jobs. Edge retention is fantastic.
So impressed with this knife. I was a bit sceptical ordering a knife from china but the quality is spot on. The VG10 core is the real deal, still razor sharp after a month of daily use.
Way better than the Procook santoku I had before. The steel is harder so it stays sharp longer. Handle shape is a bit different but I got used to it fast.
Came really well packaged in a nice box. The weight is perfect, feels solid and balanced in the hand. Used it on a butternut squash and it went through no problem.
Been using it for all my prep for a few weeks now. Holds its edge really well, just a quick hone and its back to being scary sharp. Really chuffed with it.
Solid knife, feels great in use. The flat profile is perfect for how I chop. Its a bit more reactive than I thought it might be, need to be quick drying it, but thats normal for this steel I think.
Lovely knife, arrived quickly. Performs really well on veg and boneless meat. Just a personal preference thing but I find the handle a bit slippery if my hands are really oily, but a quick wipe sorts it.
Arrived next day which was a bonus. The blade is beautiful and its surprisingly light but still feels like a proper tool. Cuts tomatoes like a dream.
Cant believe how sharp it is out the box. Sliced some roast beef paper thin with no effort at all. The full tang gives it a nice heft, feels very secure.
Very pleased overall. The blade is stunning and cuts beautifully. My minor gripe is I wish it came in an 8 inch option as I have big hands, but for most tasks the 7 inch is fine.
Ok so I was after a proper santoku and this ticks all the boxes. Great for a push cut, the flat spot is really useful. Feels like a quality bit of kit for the money.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it.
Got this last week and its honestly brilliant. The damascus pattern is stunning and its so sharp, glides through veg like its not even there. My old santoku feels like a butter knife now.
I’ve never used a knife that performs this well. It’s made cooking so much more enjoyable.
Its a decent knife. Looks nice and is sharp. Does what its supposed to. I suppose I was expecting to be a bit more wowed for the money, its good but not amazing. Gets the job done but doesnt feel particularly special in the hand compared to some others I've tried.
Bought this to replace an old one. Its a big step up, much sharper and better made. I do wish it came with a simple edge guard or sleeve though, just for storage.
Amazing sharpness and build quality; I couldn't be happier.
