The Dark Grain 7" Damascus Steel Santoku Knife combines Japanese-inspired artistry with modern performance, designed to bring professional-level precision to your home kitchen. From finely dicing vegetables to slicing meats and fish, this Santoku makes every preparation feel effortless and refined.
67-Layer AUS10 Damascus Steel
At its core lies premium AUS10 steel, clad in 67 layers of Damascus steel for exceptional hardness, edge retention and striking visual character. Each unique ripple pattern reflects the craftsmanship behind the blade. Hand-polished and sharpened to a precise 8–12° angle, the edge delivers razor-sharp performance and maintains its keenness through countless meals.
Ebony Wood Handle
The handle is crafted from deep, lustrous ebony wood whose rich grain provides both natural elegance and lasting strength. Perfectly balanced and smoothly contoured, it offers a secure, comfortable grip that ensures confident, controlled movements even during extended prep work.
Hammered Finish for Effortless Cutting
A subtle hand-hammered texture near the spine reduces drag and helps ingredients release easily, allowing each cut to glide cleanly and efficiently.
Culinary Craftsmanship and Everyday Luxury
Beautiful enough to display yet built for daily use, the Dark Grain Santoku is a showcase of precision and artistry. It transforms everyday cooking into a professional, rewarding experience while adding a touch of timeless sophistication to any kitchen.
Ruthlessly sharp, scalpel-like edge is hand finished to a mirror polish within a staggering 8-12° degree angle.
Is made using a blend of traditional handmade techniques and modern processes to achieve exacting standards expected by Japanese consumers and will compare to any Western made knife at even twice the price.
Our finish reduces the adhesion of sticky foods by breaking the vacuum between a smooth surface of the blade and the food being cut.
A comfortable, well-balanced knife which enhances the look of any kitchen as well as the functionality.

SaleIt's a decent knife. Does the job fine, cuts well and looks nice. I suppose I was expecting to be a bit more wowed for the price, it's good but not amazing. The handle feels a bit light compared to the blade, just doesn't feel as premium as I'd hoped. It's alright.
So I got this to replace my old santoku and honestly its a massive upgrade. The blade is ridiculously sharp out the box, makes quick work of onions and peppers. The pattern on it is proper nice, looks way more expensive than it was. Been using it daily for 3 weeks now and the edge is still spot on. Came really well packaged too.
Really nice knife overall, the Damascus pattern is stunning and it's incredibly sharp. My only minor thing is the handle shape, it's a bit squarer than I'm used to so took a day or two to get comfortable with. But the performance is fantastic, definitely recommend it.
Very good knife, makes prepping so much faster. I do wish it came in a slightly longer version, maybe an 8 inch, as I've got big hands. But for the price it's solid.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Cant believe how sharp it is. Makes prepping dinner so much quicker.
Really happy with this purchase. The steel seems high quality and it holds an edge well. My minor thing is I wish the handle was a darker wood or resin to match the dark grain blade better, but that's just aesthetics.
Bought this for my husband who loves cooking, he's over the moon with it. He says the weight is perfect and the flat profile is brilliant for chopping veg. He used it to break down a whole chicken the other day and said it handled it no problem. The dark grain finish is lovely, looks great on the magnetic strip.
Upgraded from an IKEA knife so this is in a different league. Slices through onions like they're butter. I think the balance is very slightly forward, but you adjust quickly. Definitely recommend.
Got this to replace my old block set knife and wow, what a difference. The weight is perfect and it just glides through veg. My onions have never been so finely chopped.
Does the job brilliantly, sharp and well made. The presentation box was a nice touch. It's just a bit more of a 'looker' than I need for a daily driver, I'm almost afraid to use it sometimes! But that's my issue, not the knife's.
Bought this after reading reviews. It's a lovely knife, the damascus pattern is beautiful. Handle is comfortable. I just personally prefer a bit more of a curve to the blade for rocking, but for straight chopping it's perfect.
Bought this for my husband who loves to cook, he hasn't put it down since it arrived. Says the balance is spot on and the damascus pattern is really nice to look at.
So I was a bit nervous spending this much on a knife but honestly its brilliant. The flat profile of the santoku is great for push cutting, makes quick work of herbs.
Used it for a big family meal prep and it performed flawlessly. The flat edge is great for precise work. It's just not *quite* as nimble as my smaller petty knife for fine work, but that's to be expected. Very good santoku.
Came really well packaged in a sturdy box. The blade is incredibly sharp out of the box, handled a butternut squash with no effort at all. Chuffed with it.
The finish on this is lovely, you can see all the layers in the steel. It's a proper bit of kit that makes cooking feel a bit more special.
Solid knife. Cuts well, looks great. No complaints really, just not mind-blowing. It does what it says on the tin.
Been using this daily for about a month now and the edge is still razor sharp. Holds up way better than my old supermarket knives. The handle is comfy too.
I cant believe how sharp it is, you have to be careful! The handle has a good grip even when my hands are a bit wet from washing veg.
Ok so first proper Japanese knife and I'm impressed. The balance is right at the pinch grip, feels really natural to use. Cuts like a dream.
Love the look and the performance is top. It is a tad heavier than I was expecting from a santoku, but I actually prefer the heft now I've used it a bit. Cuts through everything.
Perfect size for my hands, not too big. The dark grain look is really unique, much nicer than the photos online. Does exactly what you need it to.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it.
The precision and control this knife offers are unparalleled.
Massive upgrade from the Procook set I had. This one actually feels like a tool, not a toy. Slices tomatoes paper thin.
