Sold OutDoes exactly what it says on the tin. Butchers knife that butchers. Great for breaking down whole fish as well.
It's an alright knife. Does the job fine for the price I suppose. The blade is sharp out the box and the handle is okay, feels a bit blocky in my hand though. I've used it a handful of times for trimming brisket, it works. Just wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be, maybe my expectations were a bit high. It's decent, not amazing.
Bought this for my husband who loves his BBQ, he's used it on a few pork shoulders now and says it's great. He likes the heft of it, says it feels proper. The hammered finish looks the part too. He did mention he'd have preferred if the blade was a tiny bit taller, just a personal preference thing. Arrived quickly and well packaged. Happy with the purchase.
Ok so I was a bit sceptical but it's genuinely great. Used it to break down a lamb shoulder and it was effortless. Looks proper smart as well.
Love this knife. The heft gives you confidence for tougher jobs but it's still precise enough for finer work. No complaints at all.
Good knife, does what it says on the tin. Used it to portion a whole chicken and it was effortless. The steel seems decent, holds an edge. Handle is nice and looks good. It's a bit heavier than I was expecting if I'm honest, but I'm getting used to it and it probably helps with the chopping power. Solid buy.
My old knife was rubbish for bones, this one powers through. The sheath is a lifesaver, means I'm not rummaging around for it.
Massive upgrade from the cheap cleaver I had before. The rosewood handle feels quality and it's balanced nicely. Makes quick work of pumpkin and squash.
It's a decent knife. Does the job. I suppose I was expecting a bit more for the price, maybe a fancier steel or something. It's fine, gets through bones alright, but nothing special. Does what it says I guess.
Absolutely brilliant knife. Got this to replace my old cheap cleaver and the difference is night and day. The weight is perfect, feels really solid in the hand and just glides through chicken joints and ribs. The rosewood handle is lovely to hold, doesn't slip even when my hands are a bit greasy. Been using it for a few weeks now and the edge is still razor sharp, haven't had to touch it up at all. Really pleased with it.
So I got this for breaking down lamb and it does the job really well, the curve on the blade is great for rocking through tougher bits. Handle is comfortable, though it took a day or two to get used to the shape. My only minor thing is I wish the sheath was a bit sturdier, it's fine for storage but feels a bit flimsy. Still, for the price it's a cracking bit of kit.
Way better than the Procook set I had. This one actually keeps an edge. The rosewood is nice and grippy even when your hands are a bit wet.
Got this for prepping sunday roasts and its spot on. The weight of it makes breaking down a chicken dead easy, and the sheath is a nice touch for keeping it safe in the drawer.
Nice presentation box, looked good as a gift. My son's used it loads in his uni flat, reckons it's a beast for veg prep and meat.
The serrated bit on the spine is handy for scoring pork skin. Overall a really versatile bit of kit for the money.
First proper cleaver I've owned and I'm impressed. Feels like it'll last for years. Edge retention is miles better than I expected.
Birthday present for the wife who does all the cooking, she reckons its her new favourite tool in the kitchen. Says it's perfectly balanced.
Perfect for my needs. I do a lot of game prep and this handles pheasant and rabbit bones without any issue. Good weight to it.
Honestly cant believe how good this is for the price. The hammered finish looks the business and its held its edge really well after a few months of regular use.
Really good knife, does the job brilliantly. My only very minor thing is the handle shape is a bit square for my liking, took a day or two to get used to. Still definitely recommend it.
The curve on the blade is great for a rocking chop. Makes mincing garlic and onions a doddle. Handle is comfortable even after a big cook.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it.
Been using it daily for 3 weeks now, still razor sharp. The steel seems really good, no staining or anything. Very happy with it.
Does everything I need it to. Sharp, looks good. Handle is nice but I think I'd prefer a darker wood colour personally. Still a 4 star knife easy.
Bought this as a gift for my brother who's into his BBQ. He loves it, said the curved blade is perfect for trimming brisket fat. Arrived next day too.
