SaleStep 1 — Rinse
Warm water and mild soap after each use. Never put your knife in the dishwasher — the harsh detergents and jostling will damage the edge and handle.
Step 2 — Dry
Towel dry immediately. Don't leave it wet or in the sink — even stainless steel can develop spots if left damp.
Step 3 — Store
Use a knife block, magnetic strip, or blade guard. Never toss it loose in a drawer — it dulls the edge and is a safety hazard.
That's it — no special maintenance, no fussy rituals. Your Shimeru knife is designed for daily use. With these three steps it'll stay razor-sharp for years.
Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The rosewood handle has a slight rough patch near the bolster which is a bit annoying. Does chop chicken bones fine and holds up ok. Not sure I'd buy another.
Arrived quick and packed well. Honestly for £35 you can't go wrong. I've been using it to slice up pork belly and the curved blade makes it dead easy to get a clean cut.
Big upgrade from my old Jamie Oliver set. This thing actually keeps an edge. The rosewood handle hasn't got any looser after a few months of heavy use. Impressed.
So much better than the cheapy one I had before. The serrated spine is a clever touch actually, used it to scrape the scales off a fish earlier and worked a treat. Proper sharp too.
Cant fault it. Im a chef in a pub and bought this for home use. It does exactly what I need, feels solid and the 4Cr13 steel takes a wicked edge on the steel. My wife loves the look of it aswell.
Got this for my dad for Father's Day. He's one of those blokes that loves a good bbq and he's used it non-stop since. Said the rosewood handle feels a treat and its got a really nice weight to it.
My husband is over the moon with this. He's been using it to trim brisket and said the curve makes it so much easier to follow the fat. Looks great on the magnetic rack too.
Really nice knife, genuinely. Gave it 4 stars though cause the handle is a touch slim for my shovel hands. Apart from that no complaints, sharp as anything and looks the business.
Its a belter. I'd been after a smaller cleaver for ages and this 5-inch is ideal for my smaller kitchen. The blade grinds through anything and the packaging was spot on.
This knife has become my go-to for weekend prep. From butternut squash to slicing through beef ribs, it doesn't break a sweat. The handle feels like it'll last years.
