The Tetsuya 5.7" Butcher Knife captures the spirit of “iron philosophy,” uniting strength, precision and traditional craftsmanship in a striking, functional design. Built for both professional chefs and outdoor enthusiasts, it is the perfect companion for serious butchery and grilling.
5Cr15MoV Stainless Steel Blade
Forged from premium 5Cr15MoV stainless steel, the blade delivers excellent hardness, corrosion resistance and long-lasting edge retention. The hand-hammered finish reduces drag and helps prevent food from sticking, allowing clean, powerful cuts through meat and bone.
Rosewood Handle
The contoured rosewood handle provides natural warmth and durability. Triple-riveted for strength and perfectly balanced for control, it offers a secure, comfortable grip even during long or demanding tasks.
Protective Leather Sheath
A custom leather sheath keeps the Tetsuya safely protected during storage or travel and makes it easy to carry from kitchen to campsite.

The Tetsuya 5.7" Butcher Knife blends Japanese-inspired design with modern steel performance. From breaking down large cuts to carving roasted meats, it delivers strength, agility and dependable sharpness every time.

Solid bit of kit. Does the job it's meant to do without any fuss. The leather sheath is handy for keeping it safe in the drawer.
Handle fits my hand really well, no hot spots even after prolonged use. Blade came razor sharp and has stayed that way.
It's a decent knife. Does what it says on the tin, chops meat fine. I suppose I was expecting a bit more for the money? The finish is nice and it came well packaged, but it's just a good knife, nothing special. Does the job though.
Came really well packaged, no issues there. The blade is super sharp out of the box, used it to portion a whole lamb shoulder and it didnt struggle once. Rosewood handle looks the part.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Used it to break down a whole lamb shoulder and it made light work of it. The hand-hammered finish does seem to stop stuff sticking as much. Cant believe the price to be honest, feels way more expensive.
So I've been using this daily for prep in my home kitchen for about 3 weeks now. It's a massive upgrade from my old supermarket cleaver. The rosewood handle feels solid in the hand and the blade just glides through meat and veg. Arrived next day which was a bonus.
Really nice knife overall, does the job perfectly. My only minor thing is the handle shape, its a bit blocky for my hand so took a day or two to get used to. Once I did though its been great for chopping through chicken bones and the like. Would recommend.
Nice presentation box, got it as a birthday present for the wife who's getting into more serious cooking. She was made up with it, says it's her new favourite knife in the kitchen.
Got this for my husband whos really into his BBQ and butchery. He absolutely loves it, says the weight is perfect for getting through ribs and the edge is still razor sharp after a few months. The leather sheath is a nice touch too, keeps it safe in the drawer.
Really good knife overall, does a great job. My only minor gripe is the handle shape took a bit of getting used to, its a bit more rectangular than I'm used to. Still, would recommend.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Sharp, sturdy, good looking. I just wish the blade had a bit more of a curve to it for a rocking chop, but for straight down chopping it's perfect.
Solid performer. The hand-hammered finish is nice. Took off one star as I would have preferred a full tang construction for absolute peace of mind, but for the price I can't really complain.
Great bit of kit for the price. Cuts through meat no problem. The sheath is a nice addition. Only reason it's not 5 stars is I find the balance point is a tiny bit forward for my liking, but that's just personal preference.
Arrived next day which was a bonus. First impressions are great, feels really premium. The steel seems good quality, no staining after washing.
The weight and heft of this is perfect for what it is. Used it to chop through some pork ribs and it went through like butter. Handle is comfortable even when your hands are a bit greasy.
Very pleased with this, the edge is fantastic. It is slightly heavier than I expected but I actually prefer it now for chopping through bone. Four stars because I wish it came in a slightly longer size too.
So I've been using this for a few weeks now on all sorts of meat. The hand-hammered finish really does stop stuff sticking, and the weight of it just powers through joints. Feels really solid in the hand.
Bought this on a whim for some home butchery and I'm chuffed. It's a proper tool, not just a show piece. Makes quick work of chicken carcasses.
Honestly for the money you cant go wrong. It's a proper, functional knife that looks the business. Does everything I need it to.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it.
I do a lot of game prep and this knife is ideal. The size is just right for finer work as well as heavier chopping. Really pleased with it.
Impressed with the sharpness and how it handles. My only wish is that the leather sheath was a hard case rather than soft, feels like it might not protect the edge as well long term. The knife itself is spot on though.
Perfect companion for grilling like it says. Use it for trimming steaks and chopping herbs. Surprisingly versatile for a butcher knife.
Bought this for my dad and he loves it. He said it's a cracking knife but mentioned the handle could be a tad thicker for his bigger hands. Still a top purchase.
Really good value. The steel seems decent and holds an edge. It's a bit more of a specialist tool than I realised, fantastic for meat but I find myself reaching for a different knife for general veg. Still glad I bought it.
