Sold OutOk so I was a bit sceptical for the price but honestly cant believe how good this is. The sandalwood handle is gorgeous, feels warm and secure even when my hands are a bit wet. I've used it on everything from butternut squash to a whole chicken and it just powers through. Came really well packaged too, no complaints at all.
My old knife was rubbish for anything tough, this is a different league. Makes quick work of chopping herbs and harder veg too, surprisingly versatile.
Alright I suppose. Used it for some general butchering, it's okay. Handle feels a bit cheap to me personally, not as nice as it looks in the pictures. It's not bad, just not amazing.
Positive first impressions. Feels very sturdy and the leather sheath is a nice bonus. I've used it for prepping a sunday roast and it handled the chicken bones no problem. It is a touch heavier than I was expecting, but I think I actually prefer that for a cleaver. Wish it came in a slightly bigger size as well, but that's just me being picky. Good bit of kit.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Used it to chop through some pork ribs and it went through like butter. Lovely edge on it.
It's... fine. Got it to replace an old cleaver. It's sharper for sure, but I'm not blown away. Does what it needs to do, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. Just feels a bit ordinary.
So I got this for breaking down lamb shoulders and wow, it's perfect. The weight is just right, feels solid in the hand and the hammered finish really does stop stuff sticking. The leather sheath is a nice touch, feels proper quality. Been using it a couple weeks now and the edge is still razor sharp, massive upgrade from my old cheap cleaver.
Really nice knife overall, does the job brilliantly. The blade is super sharp and it looks the part. My only minor thing is the handle shape, it's a bit round for my grip and took a day or two to get used to. Still, for the money it's fantastic and I'd definitely recommend it.
Really impressed. Used it to portion a whole salmon, went through the backbone easily. Wipes clean and doesn't seem to stain. Happy with my purchase.
Solid bit of kit. No nonsense, just does what it says on the tin. Edge retention is miles better than my old supermarket knife.
Massive upgrade from my old cheap cleaver. The weight is perfect, gives you confidence for heavy chopping. Used it on a whole chicken and it went through the joints like butter.
Got this for butchering a lamb leg and it was spot on. Blade is super sharp out the box and the handle feels really solid in the hand. Leather sheath is a nice touch too.
Positive experience. Knife is sharp and looks great. I think I was expecting it to be a bit lighter based on the description, but the heft is actually useful for chopping. Just a personal preference thing.
Mixed feelings. The knife itself is okay, cuts well enough. But for a cleaver, I find the balance a bit off, feels like all the weight is in the blade. Makes my wrist tired after a while. It's not terrible, just not quite right for me.
Bought for my dad who's a retired butcher, he said it's a lovely little knife for home use. He liked the weight and the sheath.
Bought this as a present for my husband who's a keen hunter. He used it to break down a deer and said it was brilliant, handled the bones no problem. He loves the sandalwood handle.
Very pleased with it. Cuts beautifully. My slight gripe is purely aesthetic, the hammered finish shows water spots quite easily if you don't dry it straight away. Not a big deal, just something I noticed.
Been using this daily for prep in my small cafe. Holds up really well, still sharp after a month of heavy use. The handle is comfortable even after hours.
Really good knife overall, does the job brilliantly. My only minor thing is the handle shape is a bit square for my grip, took a day or two to get used to. Still would recommend.
Came next day which was a bonus. First impressions are really good, feels balanced. Used it on a pork belly, sliced through the skin and fat cleanly.
So I've been using this for a few weeks now, mainly on big joints of pork. Honestly cant believe how good it is for the price. The hammered finish does seem to stop stuff sticking as much. Really pleased.
Lovely knife, fantastic edge. The sheath is good quality leather. I suppose I wish it came in a slightly longer version as well, maybe a 7 inch, for bigger tasks. But for the price it's excellent.
It’s sharp out of the box, but the edge retention is disappointing.
It's a decent knife. Does the job. I was maybe expecting a bit more for the price, it's fine but nothing special. The edge was sharp but I've had to sharpen it already after a few uses.
I cook a lot of Asian food and this is perfect for smashing garlic and ginger, and chopping through small bones. Handle has a nice warm colour to it.
