Kagerou 8" Kiritsuke Knife 切り付け包丁
The Kagerou, named after the shimmering “heat haze” of midsummer, brings the grace of fine Japanese-inspired design to your own kitchen. Every detail of this 8-inch Kiritsuke is crafted to make you feel like a professional chef while you cook at home.
3-Layer AUS10 Steel Core
A high-performance AUS10 steel core is wrapped in three protective layers of stainless steel, combining superb hardness with lasting edge retention and corrosion resistance. Honed by hand to a mirror polish and sharpened to a precise 8–12° angle, the blade delivers scalpel-like precision that glides effortlessly through vegetables, meat, and fish.
Striking Hammered Finish
The dark, hand-hammered texture across the upper blade is as functional as it is beautiful. It breaks the surface tension between steel and ingredients so food releases cleanly, keeping every slice smooth and controlled.
Premium Olivewood Handle
Crafted from golden olivewood, the octagonal handle offers natural warmth and a subtle grain that makes each piece unique. Its ergonomic shaping and perfect balance give you a comfortable, secure grip for long prep sessions without fatigue.

Sold OutBrilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Makes quick work of onions and the pointy tip is perfect for trimming. Cant believe how sharp it is for the price, massive upgrade from my old one.
Been using this daily for about a month now and the edge is still perfect. I was a bit nervous about the price but it's been worth it, feels like a proper bit of kit.
So I got this to replace my old block set and wow, what a difference. The edge on it is just ridiculous, goes through tomatoes like they're not even there. Been using it for everything for a couple weeks now and it's still just as sharp. The handle feels really solid in your hand too, proper bit of kit.
Cant believe how good this is for the money. The steel feels quality and it's got a nice weight to it, not too light. My favourite knife now.
Ok so I was sceptical but this knife is the real deal. Makes quick work of everything. The edge retention is miles better than my last one.
Bought this as a birthday present for my husband who loves cooking. He was over the moon with it, said the balance is spot on and the finish is lovely. He used it to prep a Sunday roast and reckons it's the best knife he's ever had. Came in a nice box as well which was a bonus.
Great bit of kit. Cuts beautifully. The handle is nice but I think I'd prefer a darker wood colour, the light resin is a bit bright for my kitchen. Still a top knife.
Lovely bit of kit, arrived next day which was a nice surprise. The blade is super sharp and has a great finish. I do wish it was maybe a tiny bit lighter, it's a touch heavier than I expected but that's just personal preference really. Still a fantastic knife, would recommend.
Feels professional. The balance is right in the pinch grip, makes it feel really nimble. Cuts through peppers like they're not even there.
Really nice knife overall, feels very premium and the steel is clearly good quality. My only thing is the handle shape took a day or two to get used to, it's a bit different to my old santoku. But once I did, it's been brilliant. Cuts like a dream.
Massive upgrade from my old Procook set. The handle feels solid and the blade is so thin, it just falls through onions without crushing them.
Bought this to replace an old chipped knife and it's a world apart. My only slight wish is that it came with a basic edge guard or something in the box, had to use a tea towel to store it safely.
Great knife. Does exactly what it says on the tin. The three layer thing seems to work, no stains or anything after a few washes.
Very good knife, feels solid and looks great. It is a tad heavier than I expected, but to be honest I think I actually prefer the extra heft now for chopping hard veg.
Lovely knife, makes prep so much faster. My minor gripe is I wish it came in a 10 inch version as well, I've got big hands and sometimes a longer blade is nice. Still brilliant though.
Really pleased with this. It's just a joy to use. The blade shape is versatile and it looks stunning on the magnetic strip.
Got this as a birthday present for my husband who loves cooking. He was chuffed to bits with it. Said the balance is spot on and it looks the part too.
Solid knife, does the job brilliantly. The handle, while comfortable, is a bit slick when my hands are really oily from handling meat. A bit more texture would be ideal. Still a 4 star product easily.
Quality is there, no doubt. Cuts like a dream. It's just a tiny bit blade-heavy for my personal taste, but that's just preference, not a fault. Would recommend.
Really like this knife, the sharpness is incredible. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the handle shape took a day or two to get used to, it's a bit squarer than I'm used to. But I like it now.
Used it to break down a whole chicken, made it so much easier. The tip is perfect for getting into joints. Handle is comfy even with wet hands.
Came really well packaged in a nice box. The blade is so shiny you can see your face in it. Used it on some chicken and it just glides through.
So sharp. I actually cut myself the first day because I wasn't used to it, my fault completely. But it's a beast, handles tomatoes and crusty bread no problem.
Love it. The shape is great for a bit of everything, chopping herbs one minute and slicing meat the next. Arrived next day which was a bonus.
Absolutely brilliant knife. The edge is ridiculously sharp, makes prepping veg a dream. My old supermarket knife feels like a butter knife now.
