From its striking hammered finish to the rich, polished tones of its handle, every detail is crafted to inspire confidence and elevate your cooking ritual.
Exquisite Blade Craftsmanship
The razor-sharp edge is hand-finished to a mirror polish and honed to a precise 8–12° angle, delivering scalpel-like precision for everything from fine vegetable work to carving meats. The subtle hammered texture not only adds visual drama but also reduces food adhesion, allowing ingredients to release effortlessly with each slice.
Mkuruti Wood Handle Elegance
The handle is crafted from richly grained Mkuruti wood, prized for its natural depth of color and distinctive marbling. Its warm, smooth surface offers a secure, comfortable grip, while the faceted profile provides excellent balance and control for precise, confident movements whether slicing fish for sashimi or carving a roast.
Where Tradition Meets Modern Design
Created through a careful blend of time-honored hand-finishing and modern techniques, the Yubetsu embodies the exacting standards of professional cutlery. Its poised weight and perfect balance turn everyday chopping into an art form, making every meal preparation a rewarding experience.

Sold OutUsed it to slice smoked salmon paper thin, didnt tear it at all. The precision you get with this is just different.
Great knife, been using it daily for a few weeks now and its held its edge really well. Makes quick work of onions and peppers. I do wish it was maybe a tiny bit lighter? It's not heavy by any means, just a bit more substantial than I expected. Still, a fantastic bit of kit and miles better than my old one.
Birthday present for the wife and shes over the moon. She says its the best knife shes ever used, the balance is spot on.
So sharp out the box, sliced through a butternut squash like it was butter. Handle feels really solid in the hand, lovely looking thing too.
Okay so its fine. Cuts well enough. Handle feels alright. Just doesnt feel particularly special to me, maybe my expectations were too high. Its a good knife, not a great one.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Upgraded from a cheap supermarket set and the difference is night and day. The edge is ridiculously sharp, I've been using it for everything from chopping herbs to carving a roast chicken and it just glides through. Handle feels really solid in the hand as well.
So I got this knife as a birthday present for my wife who's really into her cooking, she absolutely loves it. The hammered finish looks amazing in the kitchen and she says its the sharpest knife shes ever used, makes slicing veg an absolute breeze. Came in a nice box too which was a nice touch.
Great value for money, edge is superb. Handle is comfortable but I think I'd prefer a darker wood colour personally. Still, cuts like a dream.
Really nice knife overall, feels very premium for the price. The blade is incredibly sharp and the finish is lovely. My only very minor thing is the handle shape, its a bit more oval than I'm used to so took a day or two to get comfortable with. But now I'm used to it, its a joy to use. Definitely recommend.
Really nice knife, cuts beautifully. Only giving 4 stars because the handle shape took a bit of getting used to for me, its a bit more oval than Im used to. Still a great knife though.
It's a decent knife. Does the job fine, sharp out of the box and looks nice on the magnetic strip. I suppose I was expecting to be a bit more wowed for nearly fifty quid though? It's good, but not amazing. My mate's got a similar one and I can't really tell the difference to be honest. Does what it says on the tin.
Got this for my husband who loves cooking Japanese food. He absolutely loves it, says the edge is incredible and it's his new favourite knife in the kitchen.
Solid knife. Does everything I need it to. Arrived safely packaged, no issues.
Been using it daily for 3 weeks now and its still scary sharp. The mirror polish on the edge is proper quality, you can tell its been finished by hand.
Exactly what I was looking for. The kiritsuke tip is great for detailed work. Feels like a proper professional tool.
Arrived next day which was a bonus. The blade is so thin and precise, perfect for slicing fish for sushi. Really happy with it.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it.
Very pleased overall, the sharpness is fantastic. Its maybe a touch heavier than I expected but I actually prefer it now for tougher jobs. Would recommend.
Massive upgrade from my old Procook set. The handle is really comfortable, no hot spots even after a big cook. Edge retention seems great so far.
Its a decent knife. Does the job. Was expecting to be a bit more blown away for the price to be honest, its good but not amazing. Does what it says on the tin.
Bought this to replace my old supermarket knife and the difference is night and day. The weight is perfect, feels really balanced. Makes prepping veg a joy.
Handle has a nice rich colour to it, feels warm not like cheap plastic. Blade is an absolute laser, cuts through tomatoes like a dream.
Love this knife. The shape is really versatile, I use it for pretty much everything now. Makes quick work of onions and herbs.
Cant believe how good this is for the price. Used it to break down a whole chicken and it went through the joints with no effort at all. Brilliant bit of kit.
Does the job brilliantly, makes prep so much faster. The blade is a tiny bit taller than I thought from the photos, nothing major just took a minute to adjust. Happy with the purchase.
