SaleReally nice knife overall. The blade is super sharp and it feels solid. I've used it for all my veg prep and it's brilliant. Only reason it's not a 5 is the handle shape, it's a bit round for my liking, took a day or two to get used to. But that's just personal preference, the knife itself is great and I'd definitely recommend it.
Bought this for my husband who loves cooking. He's over the moon with it. Says it's the perfect weight and the handle is really comfortable for his big hands. He used it to break down a whole chicken last weekend and said it was effortless. Arrived next day which was a bonus. Looks the business too, proper bit of kit.
It's a decent knife. Does the job. I was expecting a bit more for the money maybe, it's fine but I wasn't blown away. The edge is good, but it's not as razor sharp as some of the reviews made out. It's a good all-rounder for the kitchen, but I'm not sure it's the massive upgrade from my old one that I was hoping for.
First proper Japanese knife I've owned and I'm converted. The difference in sharpness is night and day. Makes cooking more fun.
Honestly cant believe how good this is for the price. Got it to replace my old supermarket knife and the difference is night and day. So sharp out the box, just glides through onions and tomatoes. Been using it for a few weeks now and the edge is still spot on. My favourite bit is the balance, feels really nice in the hand when you're doing a bit of a rocking chop. Came in a nice sturdy box as well.
Ok so I was a bit nervous buying a proper knife online but this is spot on. Arrived next day which was a bonus. It's got a nice weight to it, feels like a proper tool.
Ok so it's alright. Cuts well enough, looks nice. I found it a bit heavier than I'm used to, which is fine for chopping spuds but not as nimble for finer stuff. For the price it's probably fair, but I think I might have preferred something a bit lighter. It's a good knife, just not quite the perfect fit for me.
Used it to break down a whole chicken, the tip is really precise for getting into the joints. Much easier than I thought it would be. Really impressed.
Alright I guess. Cuts fine, handle is okay. Not sure it's that much better than my old one to be honest. Maybe my expectations were too high.
It's a decent knife. Does the job. I suppose I was expecting to be a bit more wowed for the money. It's sharp yeah, but it's just a knife at the end of the day. Nothing special.
It's a good knife, no major faults. Just feels a bit... ordinary? For nearly forty quid I thought it might feel a bit more premium. It works well enough though.
The finish on it is lovely, looks more expensive than it was. Arrived quickly and well protected. Very happy with my purchase.
It's a lovely knife, does everything I need it to. I think I was just expecting it to be a bit lighter from the description, it's got a bit of heft to it. Not a problem, just took a day to get used to.
Cant believe how sharp it is out the box. Used it to prep a Sunday roast, sliced through the beef like it was butter. Really pleased with it.
I'm a bit mixed on it. The blade is nice but I find the balance is a bit forward for my chopping style. It's a good product, just doesn't quite suit me personally.
Bought this as a birthday present for my husband who loves cooking. He's over the moon with it, says the balance is perfect and it's a massive upgrade from the cheap set we had. Came in a nice box too.
The blade is just the right length for my board, feels really balanced when you're chopping. Came really well packaged, no issues.
Been using this daily for 3 weeks now, still sharp as the day it arrived. The handle feels really solid in the hand, not slippery at all even when wet. Great value.
It's fine. Does what it says on the tin. I've used sharper knives but this one holds its edge okay. Not bad, not amazing. A solid three stars.
Way better than the Procook set I had. Holds an edge for ages, I've only had to give it a quick hone a couple times. Does exactly what you need.
Been using it for a few weeks now, still looks brand new. The handle shape is comfortable for my grip. Just a really good, reliable knife.
I was after a decent all-rounder and this fits the bill. Good for meat, fish, veg, you name it. No complaints at all.
Got this for my dad who's a retired chef, he said it's a lovely bit of kit for the price. He's really fussy so that's high praise.
Really nice knife, super sharp and feels good in the hand. My only minor thing is the handle is a bit round for my liking, I prefer a more oval shape. Still a great knife though.
Positive overall. Cuts brilliantly and looks the part. I just wish it came in a 9 inch option as I've got big hands and a big chopping board. For the price it's very good.
