Kitakami 7" Nakiri Knife 菜切り包丁
The Kitakami 7" Nakiri Knife is a refined blend of Japanese-inspired design and modern steel technology, crafted to deliver effortless precision in vegetable preparation. With its broad blade, razor edge, and elegant handle, it transforms chopping into a smooth, balanced, and graceful experience.
AUS10 Steel Core
Forged from premium AUS10 steel, the Kitakami Nakiri offers a perfect balance of hardness, toughness, and edge retention. Its scalpel-like sharpness is honed to a precise cutting angle, making quick work of everything from delicate herbs to dense root vegetables. The blade’s hammered finish reduces drag and prevents food from sticking, ensuring each cut flows with ease.
Mkuruti Wood Handle
The handle is crafted from richly grained Mkuruti wood, prized for its strength, durability, and natural beauty. Warm in tone and smooth to the touch, it provides an ergonomic grip that feels secure and balanced, even during long prep sessions. Its octagonal design ensures control and comfort for both professional chefs and home cooks.
Effortless Cutting Performance
Perfectly weighted and thoughtfully balanced, the Kitakami Nakiri glides through vegetables with clean, precise cuts. Its wide blade makes scooping and transferring ingredients effortless, while the razor-sharp edge ensures maximum efficiency in every preparation.
A Statement of Culinary Craftsmanship
The Kitakami 7" Nakiri Knife is more than a tool, it is a celebration of culinary artistry. Combining modern AUS10 performance with the timeless elegance of Mkuruti wood, it brings both luxury and confidence into your kitchen.

Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Makes prepping veg for Sunday dinner an absolute breeze. Cant believe how sharp it is out the box, and it came in a nice sturdy box which was a nice touch.
Lovely knife, makes chopping veg a breeze. The handle is nice but I think I'd prefer a darker wood colour, the light one shows marks a bit. That's just aesthetics though, performance is top.
I do a lot of cooking and this has quickly become my favourite knife. The sharpness is just on another level, makes quick work of onions without any tears (well, less anyway).
It's a decent knife. Does the job fine, chops veg well enough. I suppose I was expecting to be a bit more wowed for fifty quid though. It's good, but not sure it's that much better than my old one to be honest. Does what it says on the tin, just nothing special.
Used it to prep a full roast dinner and it saved me so much time. The broad blade is great for scooping chopped veg straight into the pan too.
Way better than the Procook set I had before. This one feels like a proper tool. The balance is lovely, right where the handle meets the blade.
Really nice knife, super sharp and looks great. My only very minor thing is the handle shape is a bit square for my liking, takes a little getting used to. Still a brilliant knife though.
Really good knife overall, the sharpness is fantastic and it feels lovely and solid. My only very minor thing is the handle shape, it's a bit more square than I'm used to so took a day or two to get comfortable with it. But honestly, it's a great bit of kit for the price, definitely recommend.
Bought this for my husband who loves cooking and he's over the moon with it. He says the weight and balance is spot on, and the broad blade is perfect for scooping up chopped veg. He's been showing it off to everyone! Delivery was really quick as well.
So I got this to replace my old cheap nakiri and the difference is night and day. The edge is just ridiculously sharp, glides through onions and carrots like they're not even there. Been using it for a few weeks now and it's still just as good, holds its edge really well. The handle feels nice and solid in the hand too. Really chuffed with it.
Great knife, no complaints about how it cuts. It's a tad heavier than I expected from the pictures, but I've actually started to prefer that heft now I'm used to it. Would recommend.
I've been using this daily for about a month now and the edge retention is fantastic, haven't had to sharpen it yet. It's my go-to for all veg prep now, leaves my other knives feeling a bit rubbish.
So impressed. I was a bit nervous spending this much on a single knife but it's completely worth it. Makes prepping veg for Sunday dinner a doddle.
Very good knife, does exactly what it says. The edge is fantastic. I think I just prefer a slightly lighter knife personally, this one feels a bit more substantial in the hand. That's just me being picky, it's still great.
Perfect for what I needed. I use it mostly for herbs and softer veg, the thin blade is ideal. Very happy with the purchase.
Bought for my dad who's a keen cook, he absolutely loves it. Says it's the sharpest knife he's ever owned and the handle is really comfortable for his arthritic hands.
Got this as a birthday present for my husband who loves cooking. He was chuffed to bits with it, says it's a massive upgrade from his old supermarket knives. The handle feels really nice in the hand.
Brilliant knife, exactly what I needed. Lovely edge on it.
My first proper Japanese knife and I'm converted. The AUS10 steel seems top notch, it's held its edge really well so far. Makes cooking a lot more enjoyable.
Great knife for the price point. Feels premium and does the job perfectly. Came nice and sharp, ready to use.
Came really well packaged in a nice box. The blade itself is beautiful, feels really solid and balanced. I've used it on everything from carrots to butternut squash and it's handled it all perfectly.
Yeah it's alright. Cuts veg well, handle is comfortable. Not sure it's that much better than my old one to be honest, maybe I just don't appreciate the finer points. It's fine, does the job.
Really pleased with this. The blade is the perfect size for my hands, and it's so sharp I had to be a bit more careful at first! Great for fine work like slicing garlic thin.
This knife has made chopping and slicing so much easier.
It's a decent knife. Does the job fine, sharp enough. I suppose I was expecting to be a bit more wowed for fifty quid. It's good, but not amazing. Does what it needs to.
